6th Class have had a great beginning to 2020.
In December the class worked very hard to prepare for their Christmas Play ‘firstname.lastname@example.org’, which was a great success.
This month we have started to read the unofficial biography of Greta Thunberg, ‘Greta’s Story’, written by Valentina Camerini. We are partaking in the One Book, One Community initiative, which has been running in Bray for ten years. The idea behind the project is to try and get as many young people reading and discussing the same book in a local community. So far we have had great discussion reading the book in St Andrew’s! The students will be bringing the books home when we have completed them to encourage their friends and family to also read it.
In History this month, we are learning about civil and human rights, and particularly about the work of Martin Luther King Junior, Rosa Parks, Mahatma Gandhi and Mary Robinson.
