4th Class Norman Adventures!

Fourth Class had an exciting few weeks exploring the world of the Normans! We were very lucky to welcome local historian Meg Elliot into our classroom, where she shared her knowledge and brought history to life through engaging lessons.

As part of our learning, the children designed their own family crests and discovered the fascinating world of heraldry. To top it all off, we enjoyed a wonderful walking trip on a sunny Friday to Raheen A Cluig on Bray Head, where we explored the ruins of a medieval church and connected our classroom learning with the real world.

We also created an incredible range of projects on the Normans. From impressive 3D-printed Norman castles and detailed models of armour, to creative posters and digital slide presentations, the variety and quality of work were truly outstanding.

A big thank you to Meg for sharing her time and expertise with us. We had a fantastic time and learned so much along the way!
