This term at St. Andrew’s, we brought the school year to a close with an exciting series of sporting events as part of our Active Term. It was a celebration of movement, teamwork, and fun, highlighting the energy and enthusiasm of our pupils across all classes.
Throughout the year, our students took part in a wide range of sporting activities - from a Cricket Blitz and Cumann na mBunscoil athletics to the Delgany Schools Golf Cup and the G.A.A. T.Y. Programme. We also enjoyed “Drop Everything and Dance” moments, hockey and tennis matches and various blitzes that kept everyone engaged and active.
The final weeks were packed with in-school events designed to get everyone moving. Sixth Class showed fantastic leadership by organising and running their very own Games Day for the whole school. A friendly Dodgeball competition added plenty of laughter and excitement, and our much-loved Sports Day saw the sun shining as pupils took part in races, relays and games in great spirits.
We concluded the term with Active Day, a fun-filled event where every class participated in imaginative and energetic challenges such as “Throw the Welly!”, penalty shoot-outs, obstacle courses with a twist and the ever-popular three-legged races.
Well done to all our students and staff for making this such a vibrant, active and memorable end to the school year!
