In April we are working on the theme 'The Garden Centre'. Together we came up with the idea to plant some seeds! First we studied the seeds we got (kidney beans) and looked at the different parts. Did you know that the white bit on the side of a raw kidney bean is called a radicle? The radicle grows into the main root, which is also called the radicle! We then learned about a process called 'germination'. That is the seed growing into a seedling.
For the actual planting of the beans, we got some help from our buddies. You can watch our plants grow in the window.
We had so much fun!
