Books Come Alive When Authors Arrive!

2nd class had the opportunity to visit Bray Library on Monday, 19th May, to meet Wicklow-based author and naturalist Declan Murphy. Declan has written two natural history memoirs, A Life in the Trees and Spirit of the River. His third book, about orchids and other wildflowers, is due to be published next year. Declan spoke to 2nd class all about biodiversity, the different types of birds, and climate change. The class particularly loved learning all there is to know about robins. At the end, students had the opportunity to ask Declan any burning questions they had. It was a super day out!
