A Year in Review: Class of 2024's Action-Packed Journey
The Class of 2024 had an unforgettable year filled with exciting activities and memorable experiences. Here’s a look back at some of the highlights from this incredible journey:
Christmas Play, Straw and Order
The festive season saw our talented students putting on a spectacular Christmas play. The performances were filled with laughter, joy, and a lot of holiday spirit. Parents and teachers were impressed by the dedication and talent on display.
Something Fishy Programme
We dived into the world of fish life with the 'Something Fishy programme'. Students learned all about different types of fish, their habitats, and the importance of environmental awareness and care. It was an educational and engaging experience that sparked a lot of curiosity.
Library Visit
We were treated to a visit to Bray Library to meet author of Wicklow Gaol, Carmel Uí Cheallaigh and illustrator Jimmy Burns. It was so much fun learning all about the jail and learning the tips of a very talented illustrator!
With our Buddies at the Seafront
One of the most enjoyable outings was our trip to the seafront with our buddies. The morning was filled with fun activities, trip to the playground, and of course, delicious ice cream. It was a perfect way to unwind and enjoy the beautiful outdoors.
6th Class Stations Day
This was all about promoting physical fitness and healthy living. Students participated in various sports and physical activities, showcasing their energy and enthusiasm. It was a day of fun, fitness, and friendly competition.
Tie-Dye T-Shirts
Creativity was in full swing when we made our own tie-dyed t-shirts. The students enjoyed experimenting with colors and patterns, resulting in unique and vibrant designs. It was a wonderful way to express creativity and individuality.
Carlingford Adventure
Our trip to Carlingford was packed with thrilling activities. From kayaking and ziplining to survival challenges, crab fishing, and laser tag, the students embraced every challenge with excitement and courage. It was an adventure that will be remembered for years to come.
Sports Day
Sports day was a highlight of the year, with students participating in various athletic events. The spirit of competition, teamwork, and sportsmanship was evident as everyone cheered for their peers. It was a day of achievements and fun.
Active Schools Day
In line with promoting an active lifestyle, we also celebrated Active Schools Day. The students engaged in numerous physical activities, games, and challenges, making it a dynamic and energetic day.
Other sporting achievements
6th Class represented their school in a number of other sporting events in the community during the year. Cumann na mBunscol, tennis and hockey! Well done to all involved.
Seomra Visit
A visit to Seomra, the drop-in centre run by Bray Youth Services, provided the students with valuable insights into community service and support. It was an enlightening experience that showcased the facility available through our secondary years!
Farewell and Best Wishes
As the year comes to a close, we bid farewell to the Class of 2024. It has been an incredible journey filled with learning, growth, and countless memories. We wish each student the very best as they move on to secondary school, ready to take on new challenges and adventures.
