First Class Trip to Greenan Maze

First Class went on their school trip to Greenan Maze. The children wrote all about what they got up to on the tour and what their favourite part was. Keep reading to see some of the class’ favourite parts of the trip!

We went to Greenan Maze for our school tour. We were on the bus for 45 minutes. When we got off the bus we ate our snack. (Eli)

Next we went on a nature trail, which was fun. (Jasmine).

On the nature walk we saw fairy doors. On the fairy doors they said the name of the tree. (Masso).

When you see a fairy door you need to look up and will see the leaves of the type of tree that is on that fairy door. (Misha)

I loved the fairy doors. (Rían)

We saw some dragonflies! (Mick)

One of the plants we saw on the nature trail was wild garlic! (Charlotte)

We saw an ash tree. We learned that the wood from the ash tree is used to make hurls and the ash trophy. (Ava M)

There was also an ice age rock that we spotted on our walk. If we pushed the ice age rock, our tour guide would give us 100,000 euro for a prize. (Alexander)

The nature trail was so fun. There was also a mini playground along the trail. After we went to see and feed the farm animals. (Jessica)

We fed geese, piglets and horses. (David)

We also got to feed horses. (Ava Rose)

There were also two horses, one called Jasse and the other was named Angel. (Genevieve).

We went to the museum. It was full of artefacts. The artefacts were farming tools. (Bailey)

We also learned about the job of a blacksmith. (Ava M)

We saw some of the different tools they used. We then got to sit at the benches and eat our lunch to have a break. (Charlie)

We went to a maze. It was hard and fun. (Conor).

At the end, when we made it back out of the maze we could go to a watch tower to watch people do the maze! (Callum)

The maze was really hard but we had fun and afterwards we went to the playground. (Olive)

I climbed up a rope and went on the swing and slide as well as the rope swing. (Henry)

We went to the solstice maze. There were four rocks that mean the four seasons. And there were other rocks that represented the places where the moon lands. (Anthony)
